Handwoven Manual Jacquard Wedding Kurta
Kaithari means handloom. Kavi is the deep maroon of Kerala's old ochre dyes.
Woven by hand on a manual jacquard loom in Kannur, one thread at a time. A power loom makes thousands of metres a day. Our weavers make three.
The colour is hand dyed in small batches, not machine dosed, which is why it holds true wash after wash instead of fading like mass dyed cloth.
Straight kurta, mandarin collar, full sleeves. Made to order once you buy, so this exact piece is cut for you.
